Your Support Changes Lives

Updated Foundation Project Highlight: X-Ray Equipment Replacement

Madelia Health Foundation is excited to share progress on our X-ray equipment replacement project, now our top priority. Construction and installation work is currently underway, and we expect the new system to be fully operational by April 2026.

This upgrade is essential to providing faster, higher-quality imaging for our patients and ensuring continuity of care within our community. The new equipment will improve diagnostic accuracy, reduce wait times, and support the growing number of clinic and hospital visits across our service area.

Because of your generosity, we’re not just improving healthcare—we’re transforming it.

✅ You helped upgrade our ambulance service to Advanced Life Support.

✅ You funded scholarships that empower the next generation of caregivers.

✅ You made patient spaces more comfortable, modern, and healing.

✅ And in 2024, your support helped expand surgical services through major technology and equipment upgrades—including a Beach Chair, Hana Bed, and 4K AIM Technology for precision and safety in orthopedic and gynecologic procedures.

These upgrades are already improving outcomes and experiences for patients right here in Madelia—and our team is thrilled to have these advanced tools available in our surgical suite.

🏛️ About the Foundation

Rooted in community. Driven by compassion. Focused on the future.

The Madelia Health Foundation (formerly the Madelia Community Hospital Foundation) was founded in 2004, with a $100,000 gift from the Madelia Community Hospital and Clinic. Since then, we’ve proudly raised more than $2 million to strengthen local healthcare and ensure our region continues to thrive.

As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit charitable organization, we are led by a volunteer Board of Directors and an Executive Director who are passionate about making a difference close to home. Together with generous community members like you, we invest in projects that directly impact patient care, staff wellness, technology, and education.

In 2010, the Foundation created a permanently restricted endowment fund—a long-term investment in the health of our region. Once fully funded, this endowment will provide sustainable income to ensure we can continue to meet healthcare needs for years to come.

🎉 Events That Make a Difference

Our two signature fundraising events bring people together for fun, connection, and impact:

The Fall Gala – A biennial evening of celebration and giving, themed to delight and inspire.

The Golf Outing – Held each June, this community favorite combines friendly competition with meaningful support for local healthcare.

In addition to these flagship events, the Foundation also hosts seasonal campaigns, workplace giving programs, and donor recognition opportunities throughout the year—all designed to foster generosity and community pride.

Foundation Board of Directors

Dan recently retired from Eide Bailly, where he was a tax partner.
🔹 Why did you feel compelled to serve on the MHF Board?
I am not really sure – Our common goal is making sure the Hospital is successful and thrives. However, with Mayo all around us, I enjoy being on the bandwagon of the underdog. We are big enough that we have great services available, but yet small enough that patients and employees are not just a number. I feel this is really important.

They come together as a community whenever help or support is needed.”
