Madelia Health Encourages Early Detection During Breast Cancer Awareness Month
MADELIA, MN – In recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month this October, Madelia Health is encouraging patients to prioritize their health by scheduling their annual mammogram. Early detection through regular screening remains one of the most effective tools in the fight against breast cancer, helping improve treatment options and outcomes.
To support awareness and encourage screenings, Madelia Health is hosting two special mammography events throughout October:
October 19th | Mammos & Muffins: Patients who schedule their mammogram during this event will receive a complimentary muffin courtesy of Sweet Indeed. Appointments are available from 7:00am – 7:00pm.
October 31st | Pumpkins & Prevention: Schedule your screening during this special Saturday event and receive a treat bag. Appointments are available from 8:00am – 12:00pm.
Appointments and prior authorization are required. Call Madelia Health at 507.642.5200 to schedule today. In addition, the community is invited to attend two breast cancer awareness and fundraising events:
October 12th | Madelia Spike Out Cancer: Proceeds from the event will benefit Madelia Health’s Radiology Department and help support patients receiving care close to home.
October 22nd | Queen of Hearts for a Cause: In partnership with the Madelia Legion, community members are invited to enjoy a burger bar, live music, and the Queen of Hearts drawing while helping raise awareness about the importance of early detection.
Breast Cancer Awareness Month serves as an important reminder that routine screening saves lives. Madelia Health encourages anyone who is due for a mammogram to take advantage of these special screening events and make their health a priority.
